4/14/2012 Song of the Mountains

On Saturday we traveled to Marion, Virginia for the filming of the nationally broadcast PBS show "Song of the Mountains."  The Lincoln Theatre was a lovely place to perform and the audience was wonderful.  This historic theater first opened in 1929 as a talking picture theater, drawing nearly 1000 patrons on its opening day but is currently home to "Song of the Mountains."  We enjoyed meeting the host, Tim White, and hearing the other great groups that performed that night:  Sierra Hull, Roni Stoneman and Lou Reid & Carolina.
